Abstract

The waste heat utilisation increases the inlet temp. of fresh water at a hot water boiler. The system has a modular housing formed from conventional drain pipes, and uses a heat exchange consisting of a copper pipe in a spiral coil. The water flow is such that drain water and pressurised water and guided in a counterflow. During operation the system is filled with water, and is automatically emptied after termination of operation. The downwards flowing waste water is guided through a riser such that the heat exchanger is completely covered.

Description

The invention relates to a device for waste heat use of shower water, in which the warm Duschab water (entry at 3 ) for heating the cooler fresh water (entry at 1 , exit at 2 ) is used and thus contributes to a considerable saving of energy. The outflowing shower water still has a temperature of approx. 38 ° C in most cases. This warm water is introduced into the device at the connection ( 3 ) in such a way that it emits a large part of its remaining heat energy to the cold fresh water and thus the fresh water rises to a higher temperature level before being heated by a hot water heater. This allows the energy requirements of the water heater to be reduced.

Claims (6)

The device for using the waste heat from shower water to increase the inlet temperature of the fresh water in a water heater, characterized in that 1. the housing ( 4 ) as a modular system (BE, 7-8) is made from commercially available waste water pipes. 2. der Wärmetauscher (A) aus einem zu einer Spirale aufgedrehtem Kupferrohr (6) besteht.2. the heat exchanger (A) consists of a copper tube ( 6 ) turned into a spiral. 3. die Wasserführung, von Abwasser und Druckwasser gegenläufig durchgeführt wird.3. the water supply, of wastewater and pressurized water in opposite directions is carried out. 4. während des Betriebes die Vorrichtung mit Wasser gefüllt ist und sich nach Beendigung wieder selbständig entleert.4. during operation Device is filled with water and again after finishing emptied independently. 5. das abwärtslaufende Abwasser durch ein Steigrohr (7) so geleitet wird, daß der Wärmetauscher (6) vollflächig umspült wird.5. the downward-running waste water is passed through a riser pipe ( 7 ) so that the heat exchanger ( 6 ) is washed over the entire surface. 6. das Abwasser durch ein Fallrohr (8) mit Überlauf so geführt wird, daß es am vorzeitigen Austritt aus der Vorrichtung gehindert wird.6. the waste water is passed through a downpipe ( 8 ) with an overflow so that it is prevented from leaving the device prematurely.
