Abstract
A monitoring component (X) is provided for the combustion process, an ignition system for initiation the combustion process, an electromagnet valve (V) which turns on and cuts off the gas flow to the burner, and a control (STYR) which connects the foregoing parts and governs their functions. The monitoring component (X) works in accordance with the Peltier principle (thermo-element) and its output signal is used to activate a semi-conductor component, the output signal of which is used in turn for direct or indirect effect on the current flow through a coil in the electromagneti valve (V) used to maintain the valve in the open position (M2). The magnet valve (V) has two coils, the one (M2) of which has much greater resistance than the other (M1). This coil with the lower resistance (M1) is connected momentarily when the electromagnet valve opens, after which the coil with the higher resistance (M2) is connected. The combustion process is initiated by electrical sparks, and an integrated circuit is used to determine the frequency and duration of the sparks.
