Abstract

The invention is a device for a carton warehouse with carton rack (2, 3) that comprise a number of compartments (6) between parallel verticals (9, 10) with support tiers (20, 20') for the cartons (7) between the rear (13, 14) and front (16, 17) support tier carriers in the verticals. The cartons can rest on the support tier with their bottoms exposed between the support tiers in the compartment and can be lifted from and deposited on the support tiers from underneath by crane forks or the like and/or be slid in and out by a pulling unit. In this invention, the front support tier carriers do not extend significantly along the longitudinal direction of the carton rack in comparison with the width of the compartment, that is to say they are shaped like pillars (16, 17) with an insignificant thickness between adjacent compartments.<IMAGE>
