Abstract

A device 16 for generating an ignition signal 14 is provided in a flying body 1 for the ejection of a projectile 3 for combatting the target 4 directly overflown, which target is detected at two different angles relative to the flying-body flight direction, in effective directions which differ from one another, by an active sensor 2' and a passive sensor 11' connected to the device 16. The active sensor may be a laser rangefinder and includes a reflection position finder 19 having a strongly bunched characteristic orientated at an angle W1, whilst the passive sensor is orientated more gently ahead or perpendicularly and is equipped with a wide directional characteristic designed to detect magnetic field, heat or sound variations in the terrain 15 in the surroundings of the target 4. An ignition signal 14 is generated when a typical height profile corresponds sufficiently with stored target-specific height information and then after an appropriate flying time span the typical variation in the terrain is ascertained. <IMAGE>
