Abstract
Problems of generating decoys or false codes for laser range finders used for locating aircraft in flight are released by a laser jamming system. This system is of low weight permitting it to be carried on an aircraft. Laser emissions are received by omnidirectional detectors at the extremities of an aircraft. Electronic circuits determine difference in time of arrival of the same laser pulse to determine its orientation. These circuits initiate an expanded jamming laser beam which is orientated towards the emissions. A collimator and convergent lens expand the jamming beam which is orientated by a plane mirror (10) mounted on a rotatable suspension shaft (11).
