Abstract

The control mechanism is intended for a (Diesel) i.c. engine, particularly an outboard motor, provided with a centrifugal speed regulator (15-21). The regulator rod (21) acts on the vertical control rod (11) of the fuel injectors via a floating lever (23) and a linkage (24). The lever is swivellably carried (22) by the end of a further lever (31) secured on a horizontal shaft (32). This shaft carries the steering handle which is vertically swivellable to control engine speed.
