Abstract
A pulling device for a towing vehicle (1) for coupling to a trailer with steerable front wheels (5) and involving a primary coupling unit (2) designed to be coupled to another coupling unit (8) in the form of a hook, bar, or the like, belonging to the trailer. A dragging section (3) carries the first coupling unit and connects this to the towing vehicle. The dragging section (3) possesses a joint (9) which is situated at a distance from the first coupling unit (2), and which connects the dragging section with other parts of the towing vehicle (1). A movement restriction device (20) laterally restrains joint movement between the two coupling units relative to the vehicle's normal direction of movement (22), so that the main lateral joint movement in the angle between the towed vehicle and towing vehicle occurs via the aforementioned joint (9) instead of at the point of coupling (21) between the coupling units (2, 8).<IMAGE>
