Abstract

A noise-suppressing constant voltage transformer of the ferroresonant type with saturable iron core (2) whose primary winding has a primary (A') and a secondary (B') endpoint to which a resonance signal generator (3) is connected. The mains voltage is connected to the primary winding via two inductors (1A, 1B) of which the one inductor (1A) is connected to or near to the primary endpoint (A') and the other inductor (1B) endpoint near to or to the secondary endpoint (B') and at least one of the endpoints (A', B') is connected to a ground connection via a condenser (4A, 4B) the value of which is not a negligible part of the value of the aforementioned condenser (3), or larger than this.<IMAGE>
