Abstract
The liner of a hollow charge that is to be used for perforating pipes of hydrocarbon-producing wells consists of elementary bismuth, an alloy thereof, or a metal mixture thereof. Preferred are eutectic alloys consisting of: 55.5% Bi and 44.5% Pb; 58% Bi and 42% Sn; 60% Bi and 40% Cd; 28.5% Pb, 14.5% Sn, 9% Sb, 48% Bi, or Bi/Co alloy containing 0.7% Bi.
