Abstract

The inverter comprises a current inverting bridge with semi conductor valves controllable in one direction and conducting current at low voltage drop in one opposite (T1,D1,T2,D2). It has 05 outputs (P,N) for connection to an appropriate source (DS1), and those for AC(R,S,T) connected to a load object (M). Between the bridge DC output (P) and the DC source (DS1) is connected an inductor (L1), and to the bridge DC output is also connected a switch-off circuit (L2,C9,T7,T8) for simultaneous switching off the bridge controllable valves. A separate commutation voltage source (DS2) is connected via a resistance (R4) to the switch-off circuit in order to cover the rectifier commutation losses by charging a condenser (C9) in the switch-off circuit. The inductor (L1) has a single directional conductive uncoupling circuit (D7,R1) which has a component (R1) which takes up the voltage when current flows through the circuit.
