Abstract

A screen cover 1 consists of several long and narrow screen elements and is held against a support element 9 for a screen frame 7 by means of stiffening elements 3 which are part of the screen cover. The stiffening elements can independently serve as a part of a fastening arrangement 3, 8, 10, 13 by being elastically deformed against the support element 9 with a recoil resultant force that is greater than an oppositely directed resultant inertial force acting on the screen fabric during sifting in a dynamic sifting machine. When using the stiffening element 3 of magnetic material, the screen element 1 is held fast or the holding of the screen element against the screen frame 7, 9 is boosted by means of permanent magnets 13, which magnetically attract the stiffening element 3. <IMAGE>
