Abstract

A line marker for marking a surface with a band of paint sprayed from an aerosol can includes a frame 1 fitted with a pair of main wheels 2 and a pair of detachable auxiliary wheels 24, the upper end of the frame being provided with a can holder and a propelling handle. Flat, rigid, circular, spray shield discs 3 are secured to central stubs 16 projecting from the inwardly facing sides of the main wheels 2. The position of the discs 3 and wheels 2 on their axle 8 can be adjusted to vary the line width by means of biased pins 15 which engage selected circular grooves 9 in the axle. The wheels 2 are fitted with tyres having a central raised rib 13. The aerosol can, Fig. 2 (not shown) is operated by a trigger adjacent a handle portion of the frame, the trigger being connected to a spray actuating member by a control rod which passes through a tubular member of the frame. A stop, which may be variably positioned, prevents upward sliding movement of the can when the trigger is pulled. <IMAGE>
