Abstract

An engine control construction in which the assembly is modular, as for example, a hydraulic module 4 containing the flow handling components, a computer module 6 containing the mechanism to determine the state of the engine and to command the engine variables and an auxiliary module 8 having special computing functions and output devices to achieve unique control functions for a specific engine. These modules have cooperating interfaces for attachment to one another and through which the minimum but necessary signals are transmitted. <IMAGE>
