Abstract

The gas and liquid flow (E) entering the separator is imparted with a helical rotation motion by means of a directing wheel (35), in the direction of an outlet sleeve (22); the liquid entrained in the stream is entrained against the inner wall (29) of an inner pipe (27) and travels in the stream direction. At the end of the inner tube (27), the liquid is deviated by a portion of the stream (II) into a slot (30) which is formed between the inner tube (27) and the tube forming separator (23). The liquid has access through the slot (30) to a collector chamber (34) and is thus deviated. The portion of stream (II) is deviated into the collector chamber (34), freed of the liquid still existing and then directed, through a connection pipe (32), in the direction of the outlet sleeve. Due to the generation of the separate flow (II), the liquid is necessarily separated, thus allowing a reduced construction volume for the separator.
