Abstract

The invention provides an apparatus for exchanging calender rolls, for example damaged rolls, which are to be exchanged during the production process. For this purpose the apparatus is composed of a trolley which can be rolled up to the calender and which is equipped with gripping components which can be brought into a position in which they can grip the bearing supports of a calender roll.
