Abstract

A reinforced panel includes a slab (2) made of concrete, chipboard or veneer and an elongate, wooden reinforcing element (1) connected thereto by nailplates 3. The panels are for use in walls, roofs or floors. A gap (4) for e.g. piping is provided between the slab and the element (1). There are no spikes round the periphery of the gap (4) and the plates (3) can be corrugated in order to increase its rigidity. The plates (3) on the opposite sides of the element (1) can be arranged unsymmetrically. The panel may be fabricated by first attaching the plates (3) to the reinforcing element (1) and then fixing them to the concrete during the casting. <IMAGE>
