Abstract
The invention relates to a forming roller for the production of ribbed tubes from copper, copper alloys and steel for coolant condensers. The aim and object of the invention is a forming roller which comprises a plurality of forming discs, can be produced economically, has a sufficiently long life, minimises the stoppage times of rolling units, guarantees maximum rib height for a minimum roll-in depth and limits axial movements of the material. This is achieved by means of a forming roller which comprises a plurality of forming discs of different diameters which are characterised by a main body with an adjoining forming region, the forming region having angles of inclination on both sides of the order of > 0 DEG to 7 DEG which run out into tangential angles dependent on the periphery radius, the tangential angles of the individual forming discs are different and are within a preferred range of > 0 DEG to 45 DEG and the periphery radii are in a range of from 0.10 mm to 0.60 mm. <IMAGE>
