Abstract
A circuit arrangement ME is provided for restoring overload channels in the receiving section of an earth digital voice interpolation- type interface module. A binary configuration indicating a given signal sample, which includes a bit for an overload channel, is transferred to a respective line in a random access memory RAM1-RAM6 during the first half of the channel time. A bit for an overload channel is stored in the second half of the channel time. When the next following binary configuration is received, the overload channel bit is shifted to the left by one position and a second bit is stored in the position previously occupied by it. Upon receiving further binary configurations, the previously stored bits are further shifted to the left until reception of the bits relating to the overload channel has finished. <IMAGE>
