Abstract

Heat transfer apparatus comprises a housing 1 subdivided by a partition 5 into two separate flow spaces for the passage of first and second heat exchange fluids, e.g. fresh and waste air, a plurality of heat pipes 6 extending through said partition 5 with one end of each pipe located in the first fluid flow space and the other end located in the second fluid flow space, and a motor driven impeller arranged to pass the first and second fluids through the respective flow spaces and over the ends of said heat pipes 6. <IMAGE>
