Abstract
The melt is treated in an intermediate chamber (2) with spheroidal graphite-formers. These are located within an insert (3) which lines a hollow core (1). This hollow core (1) divides the intermediate chamber into two parts, contains a material for reinoculation and is connected to a passage (1a) with the first part (2a) connected to the feed (4) and with a second passage (1b) connected to the second part (2b). On the second part (2b) of the intermediate chamber (2), at least one channel (6) leading to the mould cavity is formed. This simplifies the plant use of mould inoculation with spheroidal graphite-formers. <IMAGE>
