Abstract
A fuel system for an internal combustion engine, comprising an inlet duct 1 with a throttle valve 2 and a surface vaporisation element 3 with a part 16 for heat supply, and with a fuel feed device 4 connected to a metering device 12 for the fuel. The fuel feeding is performed by means of a means 7, distributing the fuel in the form of a film 8 at one end 5 of the surface vaporisation element 3. The heat supply section 16 is located at the opposite end 7 of the surface vaporisation element 3. The invention provides a total vaporisation of the fuel, a homogenous fuel-air mixture and a decreased toxic content of the exhaust gas. <IMAGE>
