Abstract

A drill bit of the drag bit type for rotary drilling has three cylindrical cutting inserts (13) that are clamped against the bit body by means of wedges that are pre-stressed by means of one or more threaded connections that have axes that are substantially longitudinal with respect to the bit. A single threaded connection can be common to all the wedges and it can be subject to the reaction torque in the tightening direction during drilling.
