Abstract

1405248 Milling cutters WICKMAN WIMET Ltd 27 Oct 1972 [4 Nov 1971] 51320/71 Heading B3K In a milling cutter a plurality of cutting inserts 18 are detachably mounted in a body 10, one being a scraper insert 14 which extends further out of the body in the axial direction than the others and is mounted in a shoe 13 itself adjustably mounted in the body in, for example, a slot 12. The shoe is rockable about a fulcrum 15 by, for example, a screw 16 accessible through a hole 17 in the shoe. The screw may alternatively be located in the shoe to act on the body. Clamping screws or other clamping means are used to clamp the shoe to the body after being adjusted.
