Abstract

A package for liver paste and other foodstuffs in the form of paste has a completely closed container 10 manufactured from plastic with inner guide rails 15 for an inner bottom 21, which is jointed to pivot with the lid 23 of the container. The inner bottom 21 has an inner carrier wall 27 and can be withdrawn from and inserted into the container 10. When in its inserted position, and when the lid 23 is closed, the outer surface of the lid lies inside of an outwardly facing lip flange 17 on the container 10 intended for a sealing disk 20. The lid 23 has stoppers 24 that when the lid 23 is closed make contact with a sunken lip edge 18 of the container 10. <IMAGE>
