Abstract

Method and arrangement for testing the tightness of two separate chambers T1, T2 of a test object T, separated by at least one partition wall, especially during series production, wherein one measures a possible pressure change in the particular chamber as compared to the pressure in a corresponding reference container R1 and R2 for predetermined periods of time. According to the invention, one checks the tightness between the chambers T1, T2, advisedly in a first stage, by joining each chamber to a corresponding reference container R1, R2 while applying different high pressures TR1, TR2, whereupon the chamber T2 with the lower pressure and the corresponding reference container are disconnected V5, V5' from each other and connected to a differential pressure meter D1. <IMAGE>
