Abstract
Bensylidene esters corresponding to the formula (I> <IMAGE> in which X1, X2 and X3, which are identical or different, each represent a hydrogen or halogen or a methyl or methoxy radical, n = 1 to 10 and R represents an alkyl radical having 1 to 16 carbon atoms, a radical CH2COOR1 in which R1 is a higher alkyl having 11 to 15 carbon atoms, a radical (CH2)2OR2 in which R2 is an alkyl having 1 to 6 carbon atoms, or a radical <IMAGE> The esters are anti-convulsants and are useful in treating disorders of the central nervous system. Processes for preparing them and pharmaceutical preparations containing them are also claimed.
