Abstract
A furnace burner device has a burner housing (1) provided with a burner (13) and a heat exchanger housing (2) containing a rotary regenerative heat exchanger disc (4), the two housings forming a single unit intended to be mounted directly on a furnace wall. In adjacent wall portions of the heat exchanger housing and burner housing duct (11) is formed for transferring combustion air heated by means of the regenerative heat exchanger disc to the burner. The heat exchanger disc is of ceramic material with a large number of passageways per unit volume, so that the passageway walls together form a large heat transfer surface. <IMAGE>
