Abstract

Mechanism for transmitting an electric current, a fluid current or the like by means of a tubing from a stationary position to a position which is movable to and fro in relation to said stationary position. The mechanism includes a rotatable drum (4) having a hollow rotating axis (5) and the tubing is preformed into a helical configuration having a certain elasticity and is placed within the drum (4) having the possibility of increasing and decreasing its diameter by that the ends of the helical tubing are twisted in relation to each other. One end of the helical tubing is fixed to a supporting means (6) of the drum and the second end is fixed to the drum (4). An extension of the tubing is wound about the drum, the number of turns of the extension being changed in correspondence with the twisting of the helical tubing. The hollow axis (5) of the drum (4) encompasses a reversible electric driving engine, the stator of which is fixed to the supporting means (6) and the rotating axis of which is fixed to the axis (5) of the drum, said last axis (5) being rotatably supported by said supporting means (6).
