Abstract

1533177 Gas turbine engines DEERE & CO 24 June 1976 [24 June 1975] 26323/76 Heading F1G The description is substantially the same as that in Specification 1533176 but the claims are concerned with aspects of the rotary regenerator in the gas turbine engine. An additional embodiment is also described in which the gases leaving centripetal turbine 604 flow through axial diffuser 638 before reversing to pass through a rotary regenerator 606 driven from its outer circumference. The regenerator pre-heats air flowing through duct 634 from centrifugal compressor 602 to the combustion assembly 640.
