1514698 Adjustable chairs; resiliently mounted chairs K G NYSTRÍM 25 Feb 1977 [4 March 1976] 08131/77 Headings A4J and A4U A vehicle chair is supported by a telescopic post 10 comprising two telescope members each comprising a narrow inner tubular portion, and a wider outer tubular portion, the two inner portions 13, 15 forming co-operating bearing surfaces and the two outer portions 14, 16 having interengaging means for preventing mutual rotation. The interengaging means comprises a radially displaceable slide block such as 18 mounted on one outer portion such as 16 and a longitudinal groove such as 17 in the other tubular portion 14 and receiving said slide block. A lever operated gas spring 21 for vertical adjustment and resilient axial mobility and a shock absorber 28 are connected between the two telescope members, the upper member supporting a turn-table 11.
