Abstract
1515008 Detecting electrical faults on vehicles DBA SA 20 Oct 1975 [8 Nov 1974] 43007/75 Heading H2K An alarm 50 mounted on a towing vehicle 10 and responsive to a fault signal produced (32) on a trailing vehicle 12 is also arranged to be energized if the electrical connector 18 between the two vehicles fails. The fault signal may represent failure of an anti-skid system 14. A relay 34 normally receives an energizing voltage from the anti-skid system via the connector 18, but if the system or connector fail the relay drops out, cutting off a power supply to the anti-skid system and energizing the indicator 50. The relay has a time delay so that the indicator is testing each time the ignition switch 24 is closed.
