1504333 Piezoelectric filters DE STAAT DER NEDERLANDEN TE DEZEN VERTEGENWOORDIGD DOOR DE DIRECTEUR-GENERAAL DER POSTERIJEN TELEGRAFIE EN TELEFONIE 17 Feb 1975 [21 Feb 1974] 6716/75 Heading H3U In a band-pass filter comprising a chain of piezoelectric filter units each having at least two acoustically coupled resonators and being electrically interconnected: (i) the electric coupling impedances are substantially non-reactive in the pass band; (ii) the electric coupling impedances are very large compared to the electric impedances which are equivalent to the acoustic coupling impedances and (iii) 'the acoustic coupling coefficients between the or each pair of directly adjacent resonators are equal. This permits the acoustic couplings to determine the pass band. With a filter units each having three resonators, and b filter units each having two resonators, 2a + b + 1 resonances fall within the pass band.
