ECU:n 14 kan kommunicera med andra ECU:er (visade i figur 1 såsom onumrerade kvadrater) anordnade i fordonet för styrning av andra fordonskompo- nenter, via en fordonsintern nätverksbuss 16, tex. en buss kompatibel med CAN (Controller Area Network), TTCAN (Time-triggered Controller Area Network) och/eller FlexRay.DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF VARIOUS EMBODIMENTS OF THE INVENTION Figure 1 schematically shows a vehicle 1, such as a bus or a truck, comprising an engine 2 for driving the vehicle, such as an internal combustion engine, a hybrid engine or an electric motor. The motor 2 is coupled to an input shaft 3 for a gear device comprising a gearbox 4 via a coupling arrangement 5. An engine torque is thus transmitted to a cardan shaft 6 via the gearbox 4 and the PTO shaft 6 further transmits the motor torque to a number of driven wheels 7 via a differential 8 and corresponding drive axles 9. The vehicle 1 also comprises at least one front axle 10 with at least two non-driven wheels 11. The vehicle further comprises a control 12 for selecting a gear included in the gearbox 4. The control 12 is illustrated in Figure 1 as a gear lever. A clutch means 13 is arranged so that a driver can indicate that the clutch arrangement 5 is to be activated between the selection of the different gears. The clutch member 13 is illustrated in Figure 1 as a clutch pedal. An electronic control unit (ECU) 14 is provided to control the gearbox 4 and the clutch arrangement 5. This control can take place depending on how a driver operates the control 12 and the coupling means 13, but the control can also take place independently of how the driver operates the control 12 and the coupling means 13. The control 12 is connected to the ECU 14 by means of cable 15a. The coupling means 13 is likewise connected to the ECU 14 by means of cabling 15b. The ECU 14 can communicate with other ECUs (shown in Figure 1 as unnumbered squares) arranged in the vehicle for controlling other vehicle components, via an in-vehicle network bus 16, e.g. a bus compatible with CAN (Controller Area Network), TTCAN (Time-triggered Controller Area Network) and / or FlexRay.
