De i ovan nämnda dammsugaren ingående detaljerna beskrivs närmare i ex.vis. i EP 753160, GB 2290143, EP 803224, EP 841868.The vacuum cleaner shown in 1 g 1 comprises a housing 10 which encloses a vacuum source in the form of a battery-powered motor kt power unit. The housing is supported on a floor surface by a number of wheels, two of which are individually driven by electric motors connected to an electrical control and monitoring system included in the vacuum cleaner. The front part 11 of the vacuum cleaner is designed as an obstacle-sensing shock absorber which has a transmitter-receiver arrangement 12 for a navigation system by means of which the vacuum cleaner is intended to be conveyed over the floor surface. Furthermore, the vacuum cleaner has a nozzle (not shown) which is placed on the underside of the vacuum cleaner and with the aid of which dust particles are sucked up by means of the air flow generated by the fl power unit through the vacuum cleaner. The nozzle is in turn connected by means of a pipe connection to a removable dust container 13 which comprises a separation system for particle separation and which is arranged under a door 14 at the upper part of the vacuum cleaner. The dust container is in the manner described below also connected to an air outlet 15 through which the purified air exits to the surroundings. The details included in the above-mentioned vacuum cleaner are described in more detail in e.g. in EP 753160, GB 2290143, EP 803224, EP 841868.
The dust container 13 consists of two joined parts 13a and 13b, respectively, for example of plastic, one part 13 being trough-shaped while the other part constitutes a trough covering part, see 2. g 2. This forms an airtight casing which encloses a chamber K in which the dust can be collected. The upper part 13a of the housing is preferably formed of transparent material and the housing encloses a tubular channel 15 extending from the underside of the bottom of the housing to the upper part of the housing. The duct 15 has partly a lower inlet opening 16 for the dust-laden air, this being surrounded by a seal 17 and partly an upper outlet opening 18 through which the air flows into the chamber K. The outlet opening 18 is provided with a non-return valve in the form of a pivotable flap 19 which prevents separated particles from falling out through the channel 15 when the vacuum cleaner is switched off.
Delen 22a är så utformad att dess yttre begränsningslinje ligger ett stycke innanför delens 22b yttre begränsningslinje vilket innebär att det bildas en anliggningsyta 23 avsedd att vila mot en på behållaren befintlig ansats 24 som omsluter öppningen 21.One end portion 20 of the dust container has an unopened opening 21 which is normally covered by a filter 22, the filter consisting of two continuous, disc-shaped parts 22a and 22b, respectively, of different filter materials where one part 22a has a greater thickness and is intended to receive coarser particles and is directed towards the interior of the container while the second part 22b has a smaller thickness and is intended to receive finer particles. The part 22a is designed such that its outer boundary line lies a distance within the outer boundary line of the part 22b, which means that a bearing surface 23 is formed intended to rest against a shoulder 24 present on the container which encloses the opening 21.
To attach the filter 22 to the container, it has a filter holder 25, preferably of plastic, which is designed as a disc-shaped grid structure with a flat surface abutting the filter, the surface being enclosed by an end 26 intended to clamp the abutment surface 23 of the filter against the shoulder 24. The filter holder has a gripping surface 27 in the form of an fl end projecting in the direction from the container. Filter holders also have two permanent magnets 28, so-called neodymium magnets, arranged to cooperate with the same type of magnets 29 on the shoulder 24 with attractive poles on the magnets 28, 29 facing each other so that the filter holder 25 and the filter 22 are retained at the container 13. Of course, one of the cooperating magnets can be replaced by a ferromagnetic material or the like.
The dust container 13 functions and is used in the following manner. Dust-laden air flows in during the operation of the vacuum cleaner from the nozzle (not shown) through the channel 15 to the chamber K. In the chamber, the dust particles are separated by the filter 22 before the purified air flows further through the filter to the spout unit (not shown).
The separated dust will thus be trapped in the container. When the dust container is to be emptied, the door 14 is opened and the dust container is removed from the vacuum cleaner. Because the flap 19 is closed, the dust is prevented from falling out while the container is being transported to a rubbish bin or the like. The filter holder can then be removed by the holder gripping the grip part and pulling the holder outwards, which means that the magnetic force between the parts 28 and 29 is released and the filter is released so that the dust particles together with the filter can be emptied into the dustbin. Then a new filter is applied, after which containers can be re-inserted into the vacuum cleaner.
