Abstract

The present invention is for method by manufacture of shaped cushions or filling material for furniture and seats where a filling material being a wad is filled into an enclosing cover which comprises fibres of a material having a lower melting point than the wad. Preferably the cover is entirely made from fibres having a melting point below 100 oC. The wad may comprise fibres having two different melting points and the cover may be divided into several separate sections which are intended to be filled with different materials and/or packing density.

Description

| . . | .1 G1 -v-S N , UT a) --¥ .ån egenskaper hos olika delar av produkterna. | . . | .1 G1 -v-S N, UT a) - ¥ .ån properties of different parts of the products. The invention makes it possible to mold polyester fiber products.

Vid utövande av uppfinningen framställs fodral av non-woven-material med smältpunkt under 100°C.In the practice of the invention, cases are made of non-woven material with a melting point below 100 ° C.

J. ...The cover is then filled with a mixture of 10-30% by weight, preferably about 20% by weight of fusible fibers and 70-90% by weight, preferably about 80% by weight of polyester fiber of a material which is indigestible or does not melt at the temperatures which occurs in the process. The filling can be done in a known manner with a vacuum. The filled sheath is then placed in a mold that allows heated air to flow into and through the sheath and the filling material. The air temperature is 120-170 ° C, preferably 130-160 ° C and preferably about 135 ° C. The air purge lasts for a period of 20 s - 10 min, usually 30 s - 5 min and preferably 30 s - 1 min. In this case, the surrounding casing and the fusible fibers in the filling melt. This results in cushions of homogeneous material with very good dimensional strength. Textiles can also be cast in this way and form a homogeneous unit with the padding. The bulk density of the finished product can be varied in a range of at least 20-50 kg / ma. This can be used by filling different channels or sub-spaces in a case to different volume weights in the manufacture of, for example, upholstery for car seats, where a softer middle part forms the backrest and / or seat and firmer side parts form support rollers on the backrest and / or seat sides. u »..
