In an electric fence energising apparatus for producing electric pulses in an electric fence a chargeable capacitor (C3) is connected over the primary winding of a transformer (T1), the fence being connected to the secondary winding of said transformer to receive pulses at the discharge of the capacitor. The primary winding of the transformer is divided into two oppositely connected windings (P1, P2) and a capacitor (C2) connected over said primary windings and an inductance (L2) connected between said primary windings and ground are provided to form, together with the leakage inductance of the transformer, a filter to attenuate frequencies above a predetermined upper limit frequency.
