Abstract

Device for multisectional furniture with legs, especially tables, and of the type where the sections are connected to each other by means of fittings situated in the joint between two adjacent, leaf-shaped furniture sections. Each fitting is designed as a mounting for a detachable leg. The purpose of the invention is to produce a table consisting of several components that can be combined into units of varying size and where each component can be detached and stacked and can be easily combined into stable units. These objectives have been fulfilled in that the fitting (14) comprises two washers (17, 18) that are designed to receive corresponding edge sections of two adjacent furniture pieces (11) between their outer edge areas; the fixing device (23) is designed to clamp the washers against said furniture piece edge sections in recesses (22) designed for this purpose and that the fitting (14) and corresponding leg (16) are designed with bayonet catches (25-28), where one part of the catch has at least one L-shaped groove (26, 27) and the other has at least one pin that fits in the groove (28).<IMAGE>
