Abstract

[Also in Divisions B1 and D1] Acid-reacting emulsions comprise a mixture of at least one silicone ; an aqueous solution of at least one titanium salt of a C 1 to C 4 monocarboxylic acid and at least one zirconium salt of a C 1 to C 4 monocarboxylic acid, the ratio by weight of titanium and zirconium calculated as oxides being from 1À0: 0À6 to 1À0 : 3À0, and optionally from 10 to 20% by weight of the silicone of aliphatic monocarboxylic acids having at least 12 carbon atoms, for example montan wax acids, oleic acid, fatty acids; and/or organic solvents. Examples refer to emulsification of dimethyl poly-siloxane, methyl hydrogen polysiloxanes, a copolymer of dimethyl and trimethyl polysiloxane units.
