Abstract

A barrier cream of the "emulsion type" as distinct from the "invisible glove type" which is in the form of an aqueous emulsion, the non-aqueous phase of which consists of greasy, fatty or waxy substances plus optional fillers, e.g. china clay, has incorporated therein from 0.2 to 2 per cent by weight of a polyvinyl pyrrolidone having a K-value (as defined) of from 10 to 100.
