Abstract

The innovation is a baton which normally uses by security forces, police officers etc. The baton is integrated with an electromagnetic gun which can shoot non-lethal bullets. The power of the bullet is completely adjustable, from warning to bone braker. The magazine contains 13 bullets, and one battery charge is enough for 450 shots.The innovation contains 9 main parts as follows (Fig.1):Main body, the shooter device, trigger switch, battery, magazine, power adjustment switch, capacitor, electronic components and the bullet.

Description

The innovation contains 9 main parts as follows (Fig.1): Main body, the shooter device, trigger switch, battery, magazine, power adjustment switch, capacitor, electronic components and the bullet.
Main body is the shell which contains all the components and as well it has the normal baton function for defensive and offensive acts. lt is made by hard anodised aluminium and the handle is covered by anti-sweating elastic cover.
The shooter device is a coil gun by ability of applying both electromagnetic force and eddy current push. lt is an electronic switch which sends a signal to the main electronic board to shoot the bullet, it is placed in two different locations, and both should be pressed at the same time to get activated.
The battery is a normal lithium rechargeable battery which is customized to be placed inside the handle, the handle it attached with a twist-locking mechanism to the main body.
The magazine is a round type magazine which contains 13 bullets, it gets controlled by the main board and as well can be replaced through a small lid under its location on the main body.
The power adjustment switch is a round stepper switch which tells the main board what the desired power for the bullet is. lt an aluminium electrolyte supercapacitor. lt contains the main electronic board and as well charger unit which adjusts the charging voltage.
The baton has ability of shooting projectiles with desired kinetic energy, when the user pushes two different buttons at the same time, a signal activates the switch and the capacitor discharges into the coil at the coil shooter, the magnetic field shoots the projectile by applying eddy current reluctance force and magnetic push, so therefore the projectile shoots out of the barrel.
The projectile head is covered by elastic resin and hard sponge to avoid penetration.
The user can by turning the power adjustment switch select the power of projectile, the power adjustment switch adjusts the charging voltage of the capacitor.

1.Claims A baton which is combined by an electromagnetic gun to give the ability of shooting projectiles by the baton. The baton in claim 1 with power adjustment switch which adjusts the velocity of the projectile. The baton in claim 1 with rechargeable battery
