Abstract

The invention deals with a base adapted to secure elongate objects, such as parts (3) included in a playground frame, in or on a ground surface, comprises a tubular unit (2), which is adapted to receive a part (3) which is to be secured. The base comprises at least one support (4) arranged in the tubular unit (2). The support (4) has a direction of extension substantially perpendicular to the direction of extension of the unit (2) and is adapted to support the underside of the part (3). The support (4) is further movable in the direction of extension of the unit (2) and arranged to be fixed in a desired position in the direction of extension of the unit (2). The base further comprises at least one fastening element (6) for fixing the part (3) in the unit (2) and at least one sealing element (5) to be arranged between the unit (2) and the part (3) on a distance from the fastening element (6) in order to be able to align the part (3) in a desired direction after the part has been positioned in the unit. The invention also relates to a method of securing elongate objects.
