Abstract

The handle has an ergonomic shape with a raised grip position and is designed to be fitted onto an existing handbrake. The handbrake button is operated using a lever arm which is geared so that the force needed to operate it is less compared with that normally applied with the thumb. A guard prevents the brake being accidentally released with the foot when the driver is getting into or out of the vehicle.
