Abstract

The motor vehicle has a semi-trailer coupling (7) and a coupling assembly (8) for the coupling of a semi-trailer to the vehicle. The motor vehicle additionally has at least one side cover (11) which defines a side plane and is installed on one side of the vehicle in such a way that the side plane coincides with the corresponding wheel plane. The semi-trailer is pivotable through a kingpin (9) around a first axis (16) extending transversely to the longitudinal axis (5) of the vehicle, and the semi-trailer coupling pivotable around a second axis (13) extending transversely to the longitudinal axis of the vehicle and to the first axis.
