Abstract

The procedure for the ventilating of an internal combustion engine (1) entails the bringing together of the gas flow from the cylinder crankcase (4) and the gas flow from the vehicle's fuel tank before directing them into the fresh air inlet duct (10) in the fashion of a suction jet pump. The gas flow from the crankcase is introduced into the gas flow from the fuel tank as a working medium. The gas flow from the crankcase is fed actively, and the crankcase is actively aerated. An Independent claim is included for a device for the carrying out of the proposed procedure and which includes a connection in the form of a suction jet pump (16) to bring together gas flows from the crankcase and from the fuel tank.
