An air/water heat exchanger (4) is placed before or after the evaporator (5), with respect to the air flow direction. The ventilation device comprises an air supply part (2) with at least one fan (5), at least one evaporator and optional filters (3). An Independent claim is also included for a method for controlling the ventilation device, in which the supply of water is altered if the need for cooling the incoming air is increased.
