Abstract

The saw comprises a grip device for holding a piece of timber in position, a cutting device, and a marking device separate from the cutting device for applying an individual marking to a cut piece of timber. The marking device is secured to a device used to move it between a first position where the marking device is located outside the piece of timber (with respect to the radial direction of this piece) and a second position where the device is directly in front of the end surface of a cut end of the piece of timber.
