يتعلق الاختراع الحالي بنظام يعمل بالطاقة الشمسية يتضمن غرفة chamber (202) تحدها طبقة تبخر evaporation layer (206) وطبقة تكثف condensation layer (208)؛ وطبقة حرارية ضوئية photothermal layer (210) تكون موجودة فوق طبقة التبخر evaporation layer (206) بحيث يتم تحويل أشعة الشمس الساقطة على الطبقة الحرارية الضوئية photothermal layer (210) إلى حرارة ويتم إمداد طبقة التبخر evaporation layer (206) بالحرارة لتبخير الماء. لا تمر أشعة الشمس الساقطة على الطبقة الحرارية الضوئية photothermal layer (210) عبر طبقة التكثف condensation layer (208) قبل الوصول إلى الطبقة الحرارية الضوئية photothermal layer. شكل 2.
