(a) a first opposing unit, comprising: (i) a chromatographic medium having first and second ends and immobilized on it in separated, discrete and non-overlapping areas, the area of each of which is significantly smaller than the area of the chromatographic medium: (A) a partner that specifically binds to the analyte; (B) a secondary specific binding partner capable of binding an element of a specific binding pair lacking affinity for the analyte and located closer to the first end of the chromatographic medium than the specific binding partner to the analyte; (ii) a first conductor for bringing the liquid into active contact with the first end of the chromatographic medium; (iii) a second conductor for bringing the liquid into active contact with the second end of the chromatographic medium;
(b) a second anti-block attached to the first anti-block in such a way that said anti-blocks are mounted against each other and the liquid is transferred from the second anti-block to the first, and including: (i) an applicator for applying liquid to the second conductor when the first and second anti-blocks are installed against each other, containing an analogue of an analyte, which is an analyte covalently bonded to an element of a specifically binding pair, lacking affinity for the analyte and capable of binding to a secondary specific binding partner, wherein said member of a specific binding pair labeled with a detectable label, the analyte analogue and exists in a form that can be resolubilized by addition of an aqueous liquid to the applicator; (ii) an absorber for absorbing liquid, separated from the applicator on the second opposable,
moreover, the first and second opposable blocks are designed so that as a result of their installation against each other, the second conductor is placed in active contact with the applicator, whereby the contents of the applicator are applied to the chromatographic medium and transferred through at least part of the chromatographic medium, and the absorber is placed in the active contact with a first conductor for draining the liquid from the chromatographic medium.

(б) второй противоблок, прикрепляемый к первому противоблоку таким образом, что указанные первый и второй противоблоки устанавливаются друг против друга, а жидкость передается от второго противоблока к первому, и включающий первый аппликатор для приложения жидкости к первому проводнику, содержащий первогo специфически связывающегося с аналитом партнера, ковалентно связанного с биотином и не способного быть связанным вторичным специфически связывающимся партнером, в форме, которая может быть перерастворена добавлением водного образца к первому аппликатору;
(в) третий противоблок, прикрепляемый к первому противоблоку таким образом, что указанные первый и третий противоблоки устанавливаются друг против друга, а жидкость передается от третьего противоблока к первому, и включающий: (i) второй аппликатор для приложения жидкости к второму проводнику, содержащий трехкомпонентный комплекс, существующий в форме, которая может быть перерастворена добавлением второй водной фазы ко второму аппликатору; (ii) абсорбер для поглощения жидкости, отделенный от второго аппликатора на третьем противоблоке,

A chromatographic analysis device for detecting and / or determining an immunologically monovalent analyte in a sample by competitive immunoassay, comprising:
(a) a first opposing block, comprising: (i) a chromatographic medium having first and second ends and immobilized on it in separated, discrete non-overlapping regions, the area of each of which is significantly smaller than the area of the chromatographic medium: (A) a substance capable of specific binding of biotin selected from the group consisting of avidin, streptavidin, antibiotic antibodies and their derivatives; and (B) a secondary specific binding partner capable of specific binding to a ternary complex containing: (1) an analyte; (2) an element of a specifically binding pair lacking specific binding affinity for the analyte and covalently linked to it; (3) a detectable label associated with an element of a specifically binding pair; (ii) a first conductor for bringing the liquid into active contact with the first end of the chromatographic medium; (iii) a second conductor for bringing the liquid into active contact with the second end of the chromatographic medium;
(b) a second anti-block attached to the first anti-block in such a way that said first and second anti-block are mounted against each other, and the fluid is transferred from the second anti-block to the first, and includes a first applicator for applying fluid to the first conductor, containing the first specifically binding to the analyte a partner covalently bound to biotin and not capable of being bound by a second specific binding partner, in a form that can be redissolved by adding an aqueous sample to the first applicator;
(c) a third anti-block attached to the first anti-block in such a way that said first and third anti-block are mounted against each other, and the fluid is transferred from the third anti-block to the first, and comprising: (i) a second applicator for applying fluid to the second conductor, containing a three-component a complex existing in a form that can be redissolved by adding a second aqueous phase to the second applicator; (ii) an absorber for absorbing liquid, separated from the second applicator on the third opposable,
moreover, the first and second opposable blocks are designed so that as a result of their installation against each other, the first conductor is placed in active contact with the first applicator, whereby the contents of the first applicator are applied to the chromatographic medium and transferred through at least part of the chromatographic medium, and the first and third anti-blocks are designed in such a way that, as a result of their installation against each other, the absorber is placed in contact with the first conductor to drain fluid from matograficheskoy medium, and the second applicator coming into operable contact with the second conductor, whereby the contents of the second applicator applied to the chromatographic medium and is transported through at least a portion of the chromatographic medium overlapping the portion of it, through which the transferred contents of the first applicator.

(b) a second anti-block attached to the first anti-block in such a way that said anti-blocks are mounted against each other, and fluid is transferred from the second anti-block to the first, and includes an applicator containing a labeled partner specifically binding to the analyte in a form that can be redissolved by adding aqueous phases to the applicator
moreover, the first and second opposable blocks are designed in such a way that, as a result of their installation against each other, the conductor is placed in active contact with the applicator, whereby the contents of the applicator are applied to the chromatographic medium and transferred through at least part of the chromatographic medium.
