Abstract

FIELD: medicine, orthopedics. SUBSTANCE: method deals with conducting combined manipulations on distraction epiphysiolysis by removing osseous block of growth plate and correction of angular deformation at its top followed by osteotomy and distraction osteosynthesis to compensate for concomitant thigh shortening with dosed distraction at 0.5-1.0 mm space per a day. EFFECT: higher efficiency of treatment, shortened period of therapy course. 2 cl, 4 dwg

Claims (1)

The invention relates to medicine, namely to orthopedics. A method for eliminating deformation and shortening of the femur in children and adolescents who have undergone osteomyelitis with the occurrence of partial closure of the distal zone of femoral growth, which solves the problem of increasing the effectiveness of treatment, as well as reducing the duration of treatment, by performing a set of actions for distraction epiphysiolysis with the removal of the bone block of the growth plate and the correction of the angular deformations at its apex, as well as osteotomy and distraction osteosynthesis to compensate for the concomitant shortening of the thigh with dosed distraction pom 0.5-1.0 mm per day.
