FIELD: plastic metal working, namely cold forming with use of elastic medium pressure, possibly for making thin-wall members of pipeline systems. SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of axially upsetting tubular blank 1 and elastomeric filler 2 at different speeds, determining relation between said speed values according to condition Uf / Ubl = $$$Vf/$$$Vbl, where Uf - speed value of axial upset of filler; Ubl - speed value of axial upset of blank; $$$Vf=(Vp.c. - Vbl.c.)/Vbl.c. - percentage change of volume of filler in portion of part expanding, where Vp.c. - volume of part cavity in portion of expanding; Vbl.c. - volume of blank cavity having length equal to height of expanded portion. $$$Vbl = (Vp-Vbl)/Vbl - percentage change of volume of blank material in expanded portion, where Vbl - volume of part material in expanded portion; Vbl - volume of blank having length equal to height of expanded portion. EFFECT: enlarged nomenclature of parts due to prevention of stability lose of blank material at shaping parts with increased expanding factor and therefore reduced number of rejected parts. 1 dwg
